  • All breakfasts, 5 picnic lunches and 4 dinners are included on this trip. Typical Meals: Breakfast in Sutjeska will be a choice of warm or cold set meal. In Sarajevo, Mostar and Dubrovnik there will be a choice between hot and cold buffet. Lunches will be picnics including bread, cheese, sausage, meat and vegetarian pate, salad, chocolate bars, cookies, trail mix, and coffee/tea. Evening meals in Sutjeska are 3 courses, and include a soup, selection of traditionally prepared meat, vegetables and a dessert. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for, but options are limited throughout Bosnia & Herzegovina - please inform the office of any specific requirements upon booking.

Route 9 daagse rondreis Walking in Bosnia & Herzegovina

Bosnia & Herzegovina is a beautiful country with swathes of rugged wilderness. The Sutjeska National Park is one such area and boasts one of Europe’s last primeval forests, as well as the mighty Durmitor Mountains. This itinerary includes all the essential elements: ascending Bosnia's highest peak, Maglic Mountain, passing hidden waterfalls and glacial lakes and time for sightseeing in the beautiful cities of Sarajevo, Mostar and the Croatian town of Dubrovnik.

  1. Dag 1 - Start Dubrovnik Airport
  2. Dag 2 - Transfer to Sutjeska N.P. Walk to Donje Bare Lake, then through beech forest to summit of Ugljesin Peak (1858m), with magnificent views of the Zelengora peaks.
  3. Dag 3 - Ascent of Maglic Mountain (2,386m); walk over the border to Trnovacko Lake in Montenegro before returning to hotel.
  4. Dag 4 - Transfer to Sarajevo; city tour and free time explore.
  5. Dag 5 - Short transfer in morning. Walk to summit of Crepoljsko (1,524m), Bukovik (1,534m) and to the beautiful Skakavac Waterfall.
  6. Dag 6 - Full day hike to Lukomir Highland village, Bosnia's highest village (1469m) and summit of Obalj (1,896m).
  7. Dag 7 - Half day walk through the beautiful Rakitnica Canyon, or optional rafting along the Neretva River; transfer to Mostar.
  8. Dag 8 - Morning in Mostar, visit iconic old bridge; afternoon transfer to Dubrovnik.
  9. Dag 9 - End Dubrovnik.
