Route 8 daagse rondreis Walking the Prosecco Hills

Just an hour’s drive north of Venice, in the foothills of the Dolomites, is one of the world’s best yet largely undiscovered wine regions. Here ancient terraced vineyards clinging to the sides of every possible slope are dedicated exclusively to grapes for Italy’s most prized sparkling wine: Prosecco. Based in an elegant converted villa, located in the heart of the so called 'Prosecco Road' - Italy’s oldest wine route - we spend a week walking through picturesque rolling hills and sampling the area’s delicious cuisine and authentic bubbles. We also visit charming mediaeval villages such as Cison, Follina, Asolo as well as the beautiful capital province of Treviso.

  1. Dag 1 - Start Soligo.
  2. Dag 2 - Morning walk around the mediaeval villages of Cison di Valmarino and Follina;visit a beautiful Cistercians abbey dating back to the 12th century.
  3. Dag 3 - Circular walk in the heartland of the Prosecco region; visit one of the best local producers for wine-tasting and learn about the wine-making process.
  4. Dag 4 - Morning guided sightseeing in the elegant provincial capital of Treviso; afternoon relaxing walk through the Natural Park of the River Sile.
  5. Dag 5 - Visit the UNESCO Palladian Villla Barbaro before ascending to Monte St. Giorgio, originally used as the front line during World War I; walk to the elegant hilltop town of Asolo.
  6. Dag 6 - Free day; relax by the hotel's pool, take an optional trip to Venice or spend an afternoon in the pretty town of Conegliano.
  7. Dag 7 - Panoramic walk through the alpine landscape of Monte Cesen (1570m): enjoy a 360 degree view of the Venetian Prealps.
  8. Dag 8 - End Soligo.
