I am a Science Graduate (B.Sc.  - Colombo University) and had worked in private sector. I have about 30 years of Management experience. After my retirement, in 2016, I obtained my National Tourist Guide License from SLTDA (A Government Entity). Since then, I have been working as a National Guide mainly with European, US and Australian markets. What is your experience as a tour leader? Why do you like being a tour leader? Why do you like your country so much? I am proud of, and like the natural beauty of my country and the hospitality of our local people. I have handled world’s reputed brands viz.; Peregrine, Intrepid, Luxury Escape and SAGA etc. During my tenure, I had a great exposure to foreigners and had worked with them extensively. I had travelled abroad for official affairs and also within Sri Lanka when my foreign associates visit here. And also within the country, I travelled a lot with my family and with my friends. With this exposure, I thought that if I become a Tour Guide, I can perform well and can do a service to my country as well, making use of my first-hand experience with foreigners and also of the travelling.
