My name is Sokkhim, I am 34 years of age and I am from Cambodia. I have been working in Tourist industry for over five years and I have been a tour leader with Peak DMC Cambodia for more than four years with different styles of trips including cultural tour, food tour, active/ cycling trips, family trip, and school group tour around Cambodia and few other countries like Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Being a tour leader, I find myself to not only as, an ambassador and facilitator to countries that the tour covers, in assisting, showing, and sharing the history, cultures, traditions and way of life to visitors, but also I got chance to exchange, share, learn the differences and new things in cultures, ideas, way of life which I think this is very interesting and crucial part of travelling experiences that one can take to enhance one’s own perception and understanding of life and wellbeing. I love my country so much because as a country, Cambodia has a very rich history and cultures, traditions and civilization of the region which once at its peak achievement, though with recent tragic history, we have experienced tremendous suffering, loss, poverty, Yet, in this context, I feel very humble and grateful to introduce and show my country around to my traveler and visitor.
