My name is Lizano Handre April from Oudtshoorn. After high school in 2014, I earned a diploma in Information Technology in 2017. I then shifted to tourism, starting at the Cango Caves, where I completed my tourism qualifications and have since worked as a tour guide in South Africa. My interpersonal skills and dedication to guest satisfaction make me well-suited for this role.   

I’ve guided guests since 2018, managing responsibilities such as ensuring safety, providing site information, and answering questions. A memorable experience was guiding in the Garden Route, which deepened my appreciation for South Africa’s history and culture, and helped me grow from an introvert into a confident public speaker.  

Tourism has opened my eyes to South Africa's beauty and cultural diversity. Sharing this with guests and exploring my Khoisan heritage has enriched my life and work as a tour guide.
