I am a native Icelander brought up on the west coast of Iceland in a small village close to Reykjavik. I went to the US as a Fulbright scholar in 1986 to study visual arts and lived in New York and Los Angeles from 1986-1993. For the last 15 years my occupation during summers has been in tourism, but during winters I´ve worked as an editor and a journalist. With more demand in the hospitality industry, I am now working all year as a trip experience leader in Iceland and Greenland. Hiking, fly-fishing, cycling, swimming, and horseback riding are among my many interests, but in the end all these activities are different ways to explore nature as far as I am concerned.. Working as a trip experience leader fits me very well, since I love outdoor activities, as well as meeting and introducing people to my amazing island of ice and fire
