I started working in Tourism in 1999 at the Casino hotel as a bellboy and porter. Nine months later I went to work for Quintinha de São João as a driver and two years later I became a receptionist.   In the meantime I started doing part-time excursions with jeeps.   In 2011 I took the mountain guide course. And from there I started to work as such, leaving the hotel and jeep behind.   So I'm more in touch with nature and people without having the brocracy of papers.   What I like most about my work is to show my island and explain everything that is built on it, mainly the Levadas, and the reasons why everything was done the way it was.
