My name is Rainer Gehrmann. I studied Forestry and later Agriculture and completed stints as Plantation/harvesting/training and sylvicultural manager in several South African Provinces. Specialist in conservation and Forestry. Love the diverse South African history, its peoples, climates, vegetation and topographical features. The complex nature of our people and especially Zulu culture and traditions are one of my favorites to explore, as I grew up in Kwa-Zulu, Natal. Have been a National freelance tourist guide since 2004, focusing mostly on the German market.

I have extensively travelled on. I have done large group (55 in bus) to 2 personally led “Driver Guide Tours” I enjoy interaction with people, no matter from where…this beautiful country is so very diverse. I always say: In South Africa you experience a new world, environment, history, culture, climate, language, wine view, unique places and animals every single day en route. Added to this you will discover new and unique foods, meals, drinks, wines and specialities like biltong and “The Cape Malay Kitchen”. As I am a National Guide and therefore guide in all 9 Provinces of South Africa.
